Basic Peak States™ Therapist
Training
Course and Certification Sequence
Revision 1.3, November 11, 2011
Because the
Institute is focused on taking our discoveries to the
world, we emphasize the training of professional therapists
- during enrollment, priority is given to professionals who
intend to work at the Institute's clinics. Note that the
approach the Institute has taken for acquiring peak states
- trauma healing - means that our training is useful for
healing personal or client issues, and for working with
peak states.
Why
would you want to take the training for
yourself?
- We all have
areas that we have trouble healing. Part of the class is
in understanding what causes this problem, along with
some in-class time to heal them.
- The fields of
healing and spiritual growth just don't have any
underlying models that explain the full range of people's
experiences. This class gives you the fundamental,
biological understanding of how they all fit together,
and what all these techniques are trying to accomplish.
- Get ongoing
support via phone conferences and the camaraderie of
peers who understand this new field.
- Be a part of
finding cures for previously 'incurable' diseases, new
peak states, and peak state processes that have never yet
been seen on the face of the planet.
- Master the
techniques well enough so you can add to your own
personal collection of peak states on your own.
- Meet some of
the people in the forefront of this breakthrough work,
and learn enough to be able to find other leaders in this
world-wide change in approach.
- This class is
required for our more advanced 'state-dependent
techniques for healing, which are much more powerful,
faster, and can be used on clients directly, without any
need to train them in technique.
- Several of our licensed processes require that you have completed this class with its professional certification procedure.
Who should attend?
This training is designed for professionals working in the field of trauma and therapy. Laypeople who have an interest may attend if their background is adequate (if they have experience in trauma healing through breathwork/rebirthing or other strong transformational techniques). The course focuses on gaining personal experience with the techniques through theory and practice. However, if you are not willing to feel emotional or physical pain during regressions, this class is not for you. We also do not allow people with current psychological or medical issues to take this training - see our legal safety and liability form that you will be required to sign at the start of class.
If you are already part of the breathwork community, or work with prenatal trauma using other techniques, your background is ideal for peak states work. It is a natural progression to what you are already doing. You already understand prenatal trauma, and you've probably already seen your clients go occasionally into peak states. This training allows you to understand why this happened, how to target what you need to make it happen on purpose, and how to make the states permanent.
What are some of the drawbacks to this training?
- These new
techniques are only 'second generation', and so won't
work for everyone.
- Nor is the
developmental work complete - we don't have everything
for anyone. It is a lot like buying an Apple II in the
early 1980s, useful but by no means as sophisticated as
the computers that came a decade later.
- The field is
changing rapidly. Techniques and theory are evolving
daily, and keeping up requires some effort. This probably
won't change for another decade or so.
- In the
limited time in a workshop, we can't reliably give
everyone all the targeted peak states. Expect this and
plan on working on yourself for an average of 6 months
after the training to complete everything and become
proficient.
- The class
isn't just one simple technique, but several, very
powerful techniques. If you expect to get the answers to
everything in something that can be explained in a 'sound
bite', you'll be disappointed. Like any worthwhile skill,
it requires time and commitment to master.
- Don't expect
to generate more professional income by taking this
training, since the entire field of peak states is
virtually unknown to the public. Instead, consider taking
this class for professional reasons - to improve your
ability to help your clients.
- Taking the
class does not automatically mean that you will be able
to become certified, as it depends on skill and other
legal concerns (just as taking conventional therapy
schooling does not mean that graduates will be able to
become licensed).
Student's Financial Expectations of Professional Training
Our training is not for everyone. The skills you'll gain will make you a better healer, but may have no direct impact on your income. For example, the field of peak states of consciousness is virtually unknown to the general public - it is very unlikely that you would increase your client base by taking this training and offering such a service. Instead, we feel that significant financial return for students will eventually be in areas of our licensed specializations (the clinical projects) or from work in our clinics.
Prerequisites
- This work
involves state-of-the-art trauma healing. Thus, we assume
that our students already have experience with current
powerful trauma healing therapies. We've found
empirically that students without this background do not
benefit fully from our training - the need to address
trauma is not clear to most laypeople.
- Some of the
material we teach is still experimental and potentially
dangerous. Read the liability and
safety agreement form
before
your
training starts.
- This training
is only for people without significant personal issues or
potentially threatening health problems. Read the
liability and
safety agreements for
particulars.
- Please read
the textbooks before the class. We assume you have done
so - in the short amount of class time, you will not have
nearly as complete a learning experience without the
thought and effort of reading ahead of time.
- Significant
pain and suffering can occur as we heal major life
issues. If you are unwilling to go into these types of
experiences, this training is not for you.
- Because of
safety, liability, and licensing concerns, you will be
signing an agreement not
to work with
clients before you finish the certification process. Not
everyone will be certified (just like with academic
therapist training in psychology), so if this risk of
your time and money isn't one you are willing to take,
this training isn't for you. See the attached PDF file
(80kB) for a summary of the student's scope of practice agreements.
- If you're not
personally known by the teacher, you will be asked to
fill out an application that discuss your background to
see if it is a good fit for this advanced, experiential
therapist training. You will also be interviewed.
- No current
psychiatric or major problem issues (such as suicidal
tendencies) - these classes are not for healing of major
personal problems.
- No
potentially life threatening conditions such as a weak
heart.
- Potential
students will have a scan done for structural problems
before the training, and we strongly recommend three
healing sessions before coming to the training (to give
an understanding of what will be encountered in
class).
Training Paths
Currently, we are only offering training to therapists (or equivalent professionals). There are several paths for students to take:
(1) Not everyone will complete the training once they start. If you end before you become certified, then you have simply added another tool to your healing toolkit for clients. However, you are not permitted to use on clients techniques that we have not yet released to the public. Student involvement with the Institute ends at this point.
(2) Learn our healing therapies (WHH, PeakStates, etc.) for therapists in average consciousness and become certified (which involves agreements like only 'charging for results'). You can use our licensed techniques with clients, and get advanced backup for your clients as needed.
(3) Learn our healing therapies (WHH, PeakStates, etc.) for therapists in average consciousness and become certified, and take specialization trainings like addictions, etc.
(4) Learn our healing therapies (WHH, PeakStates, etc.) for therapists in average consciousness, become certified, work at our clinics, and take clinic specialization training courses in major diseases (autism, multiple schlerosis, etc.). You would only be using these skills as an employee of the Institute's clinics, and not in your private practice. This is a necessary prerequisite for more advanced training (note that this does not mean that you will be offered this training, however).
Peak States™ Therapist Courses
-
100: Triune
Brain Therapy™ (approx.
2.5 days)
This course covers triune brains, triune brain therapy, and unusual situations that can occur during regressions.
-
111: Basic
Whole-Hearted Healing™ (approx. 7
days)
This course teaches the Institute's basic regression healing process for trauma. This technique, with its emphasis on unusual phenomena and problems of the psyche, is the basis for both peak state techniques and our advanced techniques, and our licensed healing processes. Some of the participants wrote testimonials after the workshops.
-
121:
Diagnosis (approx. 5
days)
This gives you the process and practice for diagnosis of primary cell problems relating to psychological feelings and issues.
-
130: More Healing
Techniques (approx. 2
days)
This course covers licensed techniques, including Rapid Whole Hearted Healing™, Waisel Base Emotions Technique, Peak Experience to Peak States Technique.
-
140: Core Issues
(approx. 4
days)
This gives you practice in identifying and healing core issues.
-
150: Peak States
(approx. 7
days)
The emphasis of this training is applying trauma healing techniques to acquiring peak states of consciousness. We teach and use our technique for turning a peak experience into a peak state, and our processes for the Inner Peace, Silent Mind, Life Path, and other states. Many of our course participants wrote testimonials describing their experiences.
Due to safety and liability issues, we have students sign an agreement not to use our techniques on clients unless they are certified by us to do so. This condition exists because all too many people don't even realize the safety and other problems that can be encountered with powerful therapies. Once certified, the therapist is automatically included in our safety net and get updates as they occur.
-
160: Safety
Training (approx. 7
days)
This set of courses are to make sure that the students have some background in conventional therapy problems, like mental illness and suicide, as well as cutting edge material in spiritual emergency.
-
170:
Therapist/Client Relationships (approx. 1
day)
This course gives you explicit training in working with private practice clients. We also cover how to do ‘charging for results’ and liability issues.
-
181:
PeakStates™ Therapist Certification
(approx. 1
day)
Certification tests for competence and verifies safety, required peak states, and other prerequisites such as legal licensed in their area, liability insurance, understands of the risks of powerful therapies, knows what to do when things go wrong, etc.
In between the modules, the students will divide into groups by geographical locations so they can meet easily. Each group will be headed by a teaching assistant that lives in the vicinity. The groups will meet in person every other week to integrate the material that was covered in the last module taught, and will meet on teleclass run by the teaching assistant in the interim weeks. Each module has to be mastered before moving to the next.
Note to students who are currently being certified:
You do not have to take any of the new classes if you were taught using the old format classes #110 (WHH) and #120 (PeakStates). Certification requirements described in course #180 are unchanged. Basic Certification course #180 can be viewed if you have questions.
