Views on consciousness beginning to change in neuroscience

Below is a link to an article that discusses a new perspective on consciousness as a type of panpsychism. This perspective seems to mirror what the institute has found, that consciousness is in the most basic of particles, but is far less complex than consciousness that we experience as a human being. It's really good to see this conversation moving forward. The article says that leading neuroscientists (there are hyperlinks in the text to other articles that explain further) are now using this model as "the best framework for building a science of consciousness".
