Hello. During the conference there was a section in which suggestions were collected on how to get more attention for the work of the ISPS. I had been thinking about that time and again in the years before - wondering why Grant never "went to give" a TED Talk (I think he might have to be invited...) and also whether the institute ever considered contacting open-minded famous people, that might be willing to try and perhaps share their experience afterwards. I watch Joe Rogan interviews regularly and every once in a while there are guests that would fit that profile (Johan Hari, for example, an addiction researcher / book author who has suffered from depression). I did start writing letters a few times but didnt send them as I have not yet been trained and certified by the ISPS. A few times I couldnt help myself and I sent messages to inform people about ISPS treatments - for example I sent John Lurie a message because he said in interviews that he suffers from Lyme's disease and I sent some parents an email who organised themselves with others to find support for their kids who suffer from Aspergers. Always I try to keep my messages short and friendly, simply suggesting that they check it out and always mentioning that I am not part of the institute but that i have had very postitive experiences as a client of the ISPS. I never got a response, so I dont know what effect these messages had.  I am a licensed alternative health practitioner and I follow a range of interesting streams of information on a variety of topics, mostly passively through email newsletters, instagram and the like. I currently receive emails from the Stanford Center for Health Education, who have an Addiction and Recovery Course which they currently advertise. I just now impulsively started writing an email to them but stopped again and now finally send this message to you because I imagine it would be much more helpful if you reached out to them. I can imagine that positive testimonials from clients that are not part of the institute may be a relevant and helpful impulse, however, that depends on the judgment of the receiver of the email and on the way the approach is formulated. I surely do not want to get in the way by doing rogue approaches to contact anyone, especially larger organisations - which i imagine are not harmful if i mention that i am not part of the institute and so on.  I have been following the Canadian Psychology Professor  Jordan Peterson quite a bit and knowing that he has suffered from depression, I was tempted to write a letter to him, but havent yet. This is of course a delicate undertaking as rethorics can tip the scale to one or the other side when it comes to such complex and edgy topics as "healing" and anything that has friction with current medical paradigms. So instead of continuing drafting an email to them, i just thought id drop this here.  To me this is a complex challenge, I did invite fellow EMDR trainees to check out the conference and asked them to report back to me any impression or reaction they had. The only answers I got were from people telling me that they wouldnt be able to attend. I am about to send a follow up email, again as carefully written as i possible for me, which i will discuss with Ingka before sending it, in order to optimise it concerning information and rethorics. I believe its best to not write too much but to offer the general information and links which then allow people who are interested to investigate further. So my question of course is: Have you had further discussions / resolutions concerning this topic ? / What is your perspective on such attempts, do you have advice or preferences ? Best regards, Rob
